Who We Are

We are a Bible-based church.

• God’s Word is foundational to everything we believe, preach, teach and practice.
• Though all else will pass away, God’s Word remains true through time and eternity.

We are Christ-centered.

• The focus of this church is Jesus Christ. God who became man… the Savior of the world. He offered up His life to redeem mankind. He died, rose again, and is now preparing a place for those who would believe in Him, and trust Him with their lives.

We are spirit empowered.

• We rely on the Holy Spirit to give life to the message we preach, and to cause it to bear the fruit God promised.
• The Spirit convicts of sin, brings assurance of sins forgiven, imparts peace that surpasses understanding and guides into all truth.
• Therefore, we are totally dependent on the Holy Spirit.

Our vision…

God has called Kennebec Valley Assembly of God to know Jesus Christ and make Him known. Our desire is to be

“…a lighthouse to the community

and a sanctuary for the soul.”

As such, we provide a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere in which all may come to know, worship, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our goal…

Our goal is to build people, develop leaders and strengthen the Church.

We believe the primary mission of the Church is to worship God, teach the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, to spread the good news of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ to all, and care for the needs of people.

We believe the Church is meant to be inclusive, welcoming, challenging and transformative for all.

That is why we seek to minister to the entire family, stressing the application of Biblical truth to every area of our lives.
